"そもそも、Facebookの本来の使ひ手になるべき30代や20代の若い人たちの多くが、なぜ同窓会に行かないのかを考へてみるとよい。特に氷河期世代を中心として、多くの日本の若者が、定職に就けていなかったり、結婚できていなかったりする。私の周りにもそういう人はゴロゴロいる。そういう人たちは、同窓会に行って、「おー、久しぶり！今、何やってんの？」と現況を訊かれるのが辛いのだ。Facebookに登録する、あるいはそこで活動するということは、同窓会に出かけて行くようなものなのだ。誇らしい経歴を持っている人は喜んで出かけて行くが、そうではない人にとっては出かけにくい場所である。"
